SCOTT
SCALE
Lightest in the world was the North star of the Scale project. Adding to that already difficult goal was the idea to increase the stiffness of the frame in key areas, to counteract the human forces from pedalling or manhandling the bike around, but also to add in comfort to discretely absorb trail vibrations not only when sat down, but stood too.
Countless hours of FEA to finely balance the stiffness, comfort and weight, combined with many more hours intimately defining and adjusting the aerospace level composite layup came together in a featherweight package that has proven itself on the XC World Cup and is just a whole mess of fun to ride around the woods.
